The Grand Dragon Ladakh

It took us 4 days to get here. Four 12-hour driving days. But it was all worth it. Leh is a breath taking place. Nestled in the Himalayas, the city fits into a cozy valley, surrounded by the Stok Kangri range on one side and the higher Himalayas on the other.

The Grand Dragon Ladakh is one of the best hotels in the city – bringing together modern amenities and local flavour. The rooms are modern and have everything you could need, and then some more. There’s lots of parking space, a big deal in Leh. And then there’s a steam and sauna area to relax at the end of the day.

The hotel is a kilometres walk from the market area. Just enough to be in the thick of the action, but far enough to be away from the noise and drama.

It’s about places that no person has ever set foot on before. It’s about the machinery that helps us get to these places. At its crux, this magazine is about stories…
