The Wind: Kanatal

This photo is from Kanatal, a place located about 50km further ahead of Mussoorie. I was there in April 2016 for a few days. During my time there, I stayed at The Terraces – a quaint, cozy boutique hotel located in the Lower Himalayas.

One evening while I was in Kanatal, I decided to take a trek to explore the area better. I must’ve walked for a kilometre and a half before I reached the top of the hill. From where I was standing atop the hill, I got a 360 degree panoramic view of the mountains around me. It was a magical place to be in. The sun setting on my right, the wind crashing against my face, getting colder each minute.

There was calm and peace even though the wind was violent. It was a paradox…
